Sediment disturbance in vibracoring
A 4 in. vibracorer tube penetrating the bottom.  Some of the surface silt is stirred up by the vibration.  Usually this material resettles within the tube soon after the core is collected.  Note that gravity corers (dropped with weights) may create a pressure wave which blows away this same material.
